The Borie Grande is an ideal base for exploring the area - to visit the many fabulous historical villages and towns (Cordes, Puycelsi, Penne, Bruniquel, Albi, Conques, Rocamadour and St Cir Lapopie), to enjoy hiking, walking, canoeing, horse riding in, or just seeing the varied beautiful countryside of the Cerou Valley, the Aveyron Gorges, the Gresigne forest, the Lot Valley, the Quercy gardens and the gouffre de Padirac.There are also several museums not to be missed in the area (Toulouse Lautrec in Albi, Ingres in Montauban, Goya in Castres and the Bemberg Foundation in Toulouse.

For the gourmet there are fine vineyards for tastings in the Gaillac and Cahors districts and several excellent restaurants as well as the wonderful markets at St Antonin Noble Val on Sundays, Cordes on saturdays or Gaillac on Fridays

Of course you can just enjoy the leisure facilities of the estate (the tennis court, the large swimming pool or the eight acres of parkland)
